Common Issues and How to Resolve Them
Before submitting a support request, review these common Solo CRM Pro troubleshooting tips that resolve most issues quickly.
Installation and Startup Problems
If Solo CRM Pro fails to install or does not start after installation, first ensure your system meets the minimum requirements: Windows 10 version 1809 or later, or Windows 11. Check that you have sufficient disk space and that the Microsoft Store app is up to date. If the installation hangs, try resetting the Microsoft Store cache by opening a command prompt and running wsreset.exe. Restart your computer and attempt the installation again. If the problem persists, uninstall and reinstall the application from the Microsoft Store.
Twilio Integration Issues
Solo CRM Pro integrates with Twilio to provide SMS messaging and voice calling features. If your Twilio connection is not working, verify that your Account SID, Auth Token, and Twilio phone number are entered correctly in the Settings panel. Ensure your Twilio account has sufficient balance and that the phone number is SMS-enabled and voice-enabled. Check that your internet connection is active, as Twilio features require connectivity. If calls connect but have no audio, check your Windows microphone and speaker settings. For SMS delivery failures, verify that the destination number format includes the country code.
SMTP and Email Configuration
To send emails from within Solo CRM Pro, you need to configure your SMTP server settings. Common SMTP configurations include Gmail (smtp.gmail.com, port 587, TLS), Outlook (smtp-mail.outlook.com, port 587, TLS), and Yahoo (smtp.mail.yahoo.com, port 465, SSL). If you use Gmail, you will need to generate an App Password from your Google Account security settings, as standard passwords are not supported for SMTP. Ensure that your firewall or antivirus software is not blocking outbound connections on port 587 or 465. If emails are sent but not received, check the recipient's spam folder and verify your sender address is valid.
Data Import and Export
Solo CRM Pro supports CSV import and export for contacts. When importing, ensure your CSV file uses UTF-8 encoding and includes column headers in the first row. The import wizard allows you to map CSV columns to Solo CRM Pro fields. If you encounter duplicate contacts after import, use the built-in duplicate detection feature to merge them. For export, navigate to the Contacts section and select the export option to generate a CSV file containing all your contact data, custom fields, and tags.
Performance and Database
Solo CRM Pro stores all data in a local database on your device. If the application feels slow, especially with a large number of contacts or deals, try closing other resource-intensive applications. The app is optimized for up to tens of thousands of contacts, but extremely large datasets may benefit from periodic cleanup of old or unused records. If you experience database corruption after a system crash or unexpected shutdown, the application includes automatic recovery mechanisms that run on startup.
Keyboard Shortcuts Not Working
Solo CRM Pro features comprehensive keyboard shortcuts for efficient navigation. If shortcuts like Alt+1 through Alt+9, Ctrl+K for search, or Ctrl+N for new contact are not responding, ensure the application window is focused and that no other application is capturing those key combinations. Some accessibility tools or custom keyboard remapping software may intercept these shortcuts. Check your Windows accessibility settings if you continue to experience issues.
